Jesse L. Kelly is an Associate at Southworth PC. His work focuses on representing former and current federal employees before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Merit Systems Protection Board, and Office of Federal Operations. He prosecutes discrimination, harassment, retaliation and whistleblowing cases. He also defends federal careers.
He takes great pride in representing clients that have experienced an adverse employment action at the hands of their employers. He vividly remembers a time when his own mother was the victim of an unjust employment action. That passion for justice fueled Mr. Kelly’s journey to pursue a legal career where he could zealously advocate for those that have faced the same indignities his mother once faced.

Later, he served a judicial law clerk with the Honorable Judge Constance Russell for the Fulton County Superior Court where he received extensive training in legal research and writing in various areas of the law.
Before joining Southworth PC., Mr. Kelly spent two years representing Fortune 500 corporations in the discovery process. While in this role, Mr. Kelly developed an appreciation for detail by extensively and meticulously reviewing complex documents for pending litigation. Mr. Kelly also brings experience from the Fulton County Solicitor General’s office where he sharpened his legal acumen by making preliminary judgments on which cases were worth prosecuting.
Mr. Kelly is a graduate of the University of South Alabama where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and a minor in Spanish. When he is not actively pursuing justice, Mr. Kelly enjoys spending quality time with loved ones, attending sporting events/concerts, and keeping his mind sharp with a good book.
