Biography
Mark E. Attucks, Sr. is an Associate Attorney at Southworth PC, where he focuses his practice on federal employment litigation. He represents federal employees before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC), and the Merit Systems Protection Board (MSPB). Mark is dedicated to protecting clients’ rights in complex and high stakes matters.
Mark has over 35 years’ experience in the military, corporate, and federal sectors. He is a retired member of the Senior Executive Service and former Deputy Director, Budget Staff for the Department of Justice. Prior to that position, Mark was a Program Director for the U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. He was also a Chief Financial Officer for the Department of Veterans Affairs. Before becoming a CFO at Department of Veterans Affairs, Mark was a Regional Manager for Target Corporation responsible for the Target stores throughout Hawaii.
Mark a proud Air Force retiree and a native of Winston-Salem, NC. He resides in La Plata, MD with his wife Niya their two children MiKayla and Mark Jr. (MJ).
Mark holds a juris doctorate from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School, a Bachelor of Science degrees in Legal Studies from University of Maryland University College, and associate degrees in Applied Sciences in Security Management and Financial Management.
