Biography
Alexander Finkelstein is a litigation associate with a focus on labor and employment law, federal administrative procedure, and complex civil litigation. He brings a strong background in legal analysis, motion drafting, and federal regulatory compliance, particularly in matters involving Title VII, the ADA, ADEA, ERISA, and OSHA. Alex consistently supports high-stakes employment disputes with both national and international implications through managing discovery strategy, drafting dispositive motions, and zealously advocating on behalf of his clients in multi-million-dollar cases.
Prior to joining Southworth PC, Alex gained valuable experience at a leading national law firm and as in-house legal counsel, working on labor and employment matters as well as trademark enforcement issues. He also participated in a multiyear summer associate program, where he worked alongside litigation and transactional teams and supported pro bono immigration matters focused on citizenship and human rights.
Alex earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia. He was named one of the National Black Lawyers' “Top 40 Under 40” in 2024. Alex is known for his strategic, thorough approach and vociferous oral advocacy.
In his personal time, Alex enjoys building bicycles, fiddling with electronics, doting on his two beloved cats, and photography.
